Wool withstands penetration of dirt and dust better than synthetics and is easy to clean. The natural properties of wool also ensure moisture is wicked away from your horses back. The Pulled Wool Saddle Pad design promotes airflow and insulation against both cold and heat.
** Why many working cowboys and cowgirls prefer the Pulled Wool Saddle Pad.

One of a Kind
Each and every one of our pulled wool saddle pads is different than the next. This is a more recent build. It took a little extra planning, and a very close eye on the little details to create a perfect geometric pattern even all the way around. Miss Tillie dog approves of this one! The colours used are Sunset, Light Grey, Medium Grey, and Denim. Standard size is 32” x 32” x 2”. We ship all over Canada and the USA.

Ever wonder what the underside of a Pulled Wool Saddle Pad looks like?
Wonder no more! Above, we have three saddle pads showing the underside. It is very similar to the top of the saddle pad, it is simply not as neat or detailed. Our saddle pads are designed to be used as is, with no liner or blanket underneath, taking full advantage of the natural qualities of raw wool.
Each pad is handmade using Canadian Wool.

Up Close Look at Our Quality Pads
Take a look at the difference between our Pulled Wool Saddle Pads VS The Other Guys! We maintain a tight and even loop to create a high quality pad that will last a lifetime, with proper care.

Pulled Wool Saddle Pad Care:
It is important to take proper care of your Pulled Wool Saddle Pad, follow these simple steps to help clean and prolong the life of your gear. For a pulled wool saddle pad to be effective at wicking moisture away from your horse, it must be free of dried sweat and grime.
NEVER DRY CLEAN YOUR TACK as chemicals from that process may have an adverse effect on an animal’s delicate skin, and possibly ruin the tack.
How to clean your Pulled Wool Pad:
1. Place your pad in a large bin/tub. Fill the tub with a mild wool soap/ detergent and cold or luke warm water.
2. Let your pad soak over night.
3. Remove the pad from the tub, lay on a flat surface with drainage (wooden picnic table or deck work well).
4. Roll your pad up and squeeze excess water/ grime out.
5. Lay your pad flat and rinse with a cold hose until water runs clean. Remember to turn your pad over and rinse both sides.
6. Roll pad and squeeze out excess water.
7. Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight. (May take a few days to dry completely)· Remember to use the same water temperature for washing and rinsing to reduce/ prevent shrinkage and felting.
8. Be sure to store your natural fiber tack in a safe place, away from rodents, pests, cats and dogs, as they are known to chew the fiber.

Here at CP Custom Tack we love to create the perfect saddle pad for each individual. From custom sizing, colour combos, and patterns, the options are endless! Above we show two custom saddle pads (one brown and one grey) that were designed for Rafter Diamond Equine. Working closely with Travis and Kelsey, we designed each pad with the chosen colours, a special boarder, and the Rafter Diamond brand incorporated in the corners of each pad.
A couple of our more intricate designs are shown above. The Navajo/ Aztec design took upwards of 55 hours to complete. From designing the pattern on paper, transferring it to canvas, prepping the wool, and bringing the idea to life, each of our saddle pads are made with care and love of horses in mind!
